Pencil Control work books

This is a good resource for children to help them with pencil control and grip. There are lots of patterns for them to complete joining up the dots and lines. This forms the foundations for handwriting and helps them to be ready for more formal writing in Reception. Children may enjoy using different crayons, felt pens or even highlighters as well as a normal pencil. Please encourage the 3 finger grip as seen in the picture. All children are at different stages with this if your child finds it difficult. Try circles and lines on large pieces of paper or chalking outside or painting.
